That 5% comes out of what your guide and driver earn. Your price stays the same. They give it because Siem Reap is home. Everything else goes straight to them, which is also why a private local guide costs you less than the big operators. So far we've given books and pens to children and to a small school. We believe no donation is too small. Most of the time the kids are so happy and grateful to get them.

Sunrise, then the morning of our day tour
After first light you carry on along the same route as our private Angkor Wat day tour, through Angkor Thom, and stop before lunch. Sunrise is the busiest hour at Angkor Wat, so expect company at the pond. Your guide knows where to stand. Want Ta Prohm as well? The full day tour adds it after lunch.
Before you go
Buy your pass the evening before, on the app or at the Heritage Walk kiosk. A pass bought after 4:45pm counts for the next day, so the 4:30am pickup can go straight to the temple. Can I do the sunrise and the full day together?
Yes. We start at 4:30am with the sunrise at Angkor Wat, then carry on through Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, back at your hotel around 3:30 to 4pm. It's the day tour price plus $10, so $105 solo, $140 by private tuk-tuk, $160 by private A/C SUV or $175 by private A/C minivan.
What time does the sunrise tour start?
Pick-up is around 4:30am, so you are at Angkor Wat before first light.
How much is a private Angkor Wat sunrise tour?
$95 solo, $130 by private tuk-tuk (up to 3 adults), $150 by private A/C SUV (2 adults and 1 child) or $165 by private A/C minivan (up to 6 adults), excluding the Angkor park pass.
What does the sunrise tour cover?
Sunrise at Angkor Wat and time inside the temple, then Angkor Thom: the South Gate, the Bayon, the Baphuon, the Royal Palace area with Phimeanakas, and Preah Palilay. You are back at your hotel around 12:30pm. Ta Prohm is on the full day tour instead.
Is the park pass included?
No. The official Angkor park pass is a government ticket you buy at the ticket office. Our price covers the guide, driver and vehicle only.
