Go Siem Reap Locals is a family-run team of Ministry-certified guides from Siem Reap. We run private tours of the Angkor temples and of everyday Khmer life: floating villages, rice fields, markets and our own home villages. You book with us directly, with no booking sites in between, and 5% of every booking goes to village schools and clean water. So far the 5% has gone on books and pencils for primary-school teachers.

Pick your tour and book your date through the form, and you get a confirmation email straight away. You can also message us on WhatsApp. Nothing to pay online. You pay your guide in cash on the day, in US dollars or riel.

Your private guide, driver and vehicle for the whole day, plus cold towels, water and beverages, and the price covers the whole group, not per person. Temple tickets are not included. The official Angkor park pass and the separate Kulen entrance ticket are government tickets you buy yourself, and we'll point you to them. Lunch is not included either, except on the food tour, where the food is the tour.

Yes. There's no deposit, so cancelling costs you nothing. We just ask for 48 hours' notice by WhatsApp or email so your guide can offer the day to someone else. Need to switch dates instead? Same thing, just tell us.

The Angkor park pass costs $37 for one day, $62 for three days, or $72 for seven days. Children under 12 enter free with a passport. You buy it at the official Angkor Enterprise ticket office or online at angkorenterprise.gov.kh. Nobody else can legally sell it to you, including us.

One full day covers the icons: Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm. Two days lets you slow down and add the big circuit. Three days gets you out to the far temples like Banteay Srei and Beng Mealea, which most visitors never see. Our 2-day and 3-day tours are built exactly around this.

Angkor Wat sits about 6 km north of town, around 15 to 20 minutes by tuk-tuk. On our tours you don't arrange anything: your guide and driver pick you up at your hotel and bring you back.

Between about 5:30 and 6:15am depending on the season. For our sunrise tour we pick you up around 4:30am so you're standing in the right spot before the crowds arrive.

Shoulders and knees covered. That's the rule at Angkor and it's enforced at the main temples. Light, breathable clothes, comfortable shoes for uneven stone, and a hat for the sun. Bring water; there's plenty of walking.

November to February is cool and dry, and it's the busiest stretch. The green season, roughly May to October, means lush rice fields, quieter temples and a short rain most afternoons, usually easy to plan around. We run tours year-round and route around the weather.

Tuk-tuk is open-air and classic Cambodia, and most guests love it. It seats up to 3 adults. The A/C SUV takes 2 adults and a child and is better for the hot months and longer distances. Groups of 3 to 6 adults who want A/C take the minivan. All are private to your group.

Yes. Every tour comes with 2 people: your licensed guide, who walks the temples with you, and a driver who stays with the car. Leave bags, a stroller or anything you don't want to carry in the car. On multi-day tours you keep the same guide and driver every day.

Yes. Tell us your child's age when you book and we'll have a seat fitted in the car before pickup, at no extra cost.

Yes. With small kids, one plan that works: start early, go back to the hotel around 11am when it's hottest, then head out again in the afternoon. It's the same price as a normal day. Tell us what your days look like and we'll plan around naps, meals and rests.

Yes, for guests who book a tour with us: $35 each way in a private A/C car, or $40 in the minivan for groups of 5 or 6. Your driver meets you at arrivals with a sign. Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is well outside town, about 1 hour to most hotels and up to 1.5 hours. Send us your flight time when you book your tour.

You can walk the temples alone, and plenty of people do. What you'll miss is what the stones mean, and the timing. A Ministry-certified local guide reads the crowds, knows which gate to use at which hour, and turns a pile of carvings into a story. That's the difference you're paying for.

A fixed 5% of every booking goes to village schools and clean water projects in the Siem Reap countryside. We're finalising the named partner and will publish it here, because a pledge you can't check isn't worth much.
