His story
Sitha Roet has worked as a Siem Reap tour guide for more than ten years. He is fully licensed, speaks English, and is certified by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, and he has spent that decade in the same temples most visitors get to see only once.
Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm are the three he keeps coming back to. He will point you at them first, not because a list said so, but because he knows what each one does at the right hour and where the good light and quiet corners are. What he likes is the part the signboards leave out: the history behind a carving, the reason a gate faces the way it does, the small things ten years of walking these ruins turns up. He is still finding them.
He guides private, one group at a time, so the day runs at your pace instead of a fixed schedule.
